FAQs

How long does grooming take?

We do our very best to get your cat/dog done as quickly as possible. We begin their grooming as soon as you drop them off.  We like to say that it will take about two to three hours, but many times it will be less. We will call you right away when the grooming is finished and your pet/s is ready to be picked up.

Can I stay with my cat/dog?

My salon has no area for the customers to stay while their pet/s is being groomed. It is safest not to let your pet/s see you during their grooming. The groomer is working with sharp tools, and if your cat/dog can see you, they may typically fight to get back to you, which can be a dangerous situation.

How do you dry the cats/dogs?

This is a very good and important question to ask any groomer because your pet’s safety is at stake. Please ask this no matter where you decide to take your pet for grooming. I use towels, fans and no-heat blow-dryers. Hot and dangerous cage dryers are not used at my salon.

Can I drop my cat/dog off early?

Yes, of course. Most days we open at 8am, but we are open by appointment, so please call  us to make sure we are open before you drop off.

How often should my cat/dog be groomed?

Typically it is good to say six to eight weeks. Regular visits can help reduce skin allergies and rehydrate the skin to reduce doggie dandruff. You may always pre-book your next appointment when you pick up your cat/dog. That way you will not need to worry about forgetting until things get really bad, or not getting the day and time you like best.

Do you groom hard-to-handle pets?

Yes I do. We have no problem with that. But our grooming prices are based fully on the time it takes to groom the pet, so if the behavior causes the groom to take longer than it would otherwise take, we need to charge more so that the groomer who does the work is adequately compensated for their time.
